Co-Pastor
Rev. Ryan Chambers Johnson

Pastor Ryan has been the co-pastor of Covenant Congregational Church since 2021, sharing the position with his wife Pastor Devyn. Together, they oversee the church in growing in God’s word and keeping in step with the Spirit.
Pastor Ryan is the eldest of six siblings and grew up in Rockford, Illinois, a city 100 miles northwest of Chicago where he attended First Covenant Church growing up. Ryan then attended Trinity International University, a college in the Chicago suburbs, and worked summers at Covenant Harbor Bible Camp in Wisconsin. Through the encouragement of the church and godly friends, he felt the call to the ministry, and began studies at North Park Seminary in Chicago where he met his lovely wife. He has served as Pastor of Teaching and Worship at Grace Covenant Church in Chicago and, most recently, as Co-Pastor of Community Covenant Church in Springfield, Virginia.
When he’s not at church, Ryan loves to spend time outdoors with his two girls, Rosie and Susanna. He also enjoys hiking, reading, playing guitar and completing crossword puzzles. He also loves baseball, and is on a quest to visit every major league park (current count: 21)
Pastor Ryan and Pastor Devyn got engaged at the top of a waterfall and share a love for hospitality, live music and God's people. In 2012 they welcomed home Rosie (Rosemary) and in 2016 Susanna. Rosie and Susanna both love music, playing outside, and most recently--sledding in North Easton!
