MISSION STATEMENT

"To Connect the generations to Christ, to Grow in our love for His Church, and to Serve God in the greater Community."

At Covenant Congregational Church, our doors are open to every person seeking a deeper relationship with God and His church.  We foster a community that helps each individual live out their faith in God and care for one another through worship and service.  All are welcome to participate in the different ministries, explore their gifts and find their place to

Belong, Believe, Become

WHAT WE BELIEVE

When new members join a Covenant church, they are asked two questions about belief: “Do you confess Jesus Christ as your Savior and promise to follow him as Lord?” and “Do you accept the Holy Scriptures, the Old and New Testaments, as the word of God and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct?” They are then asked if they intend to live as faithful followers of Christ and members of the church and denomination. That’s all. That is enough.

  • We affirm the centrality of the word of God.

  • We affirm the necessity of the new birth.

  • We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church.

  • We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers.

  • We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.

  • We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ

OUR COMMUNITY

While we are a local church with strong local connections, our members and friends come from more than 15 surrounding communities.  Since our founding in 1883, we have welcomed people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs regardless of age, race, social or economic status.  Through caring, healing and supporting one another, and helping someone find or restore their faith in God, we strive to reflect God's love and light to our communities and neighbors.

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

Matthew 25:40
