I have been serving the North Easton CCC since January 2019. I Studied at Stockholm School of Theology (SSoT) and initially received my ordination in 1997 in The Covenant Church of Sweden. I have served in Covenant churches both in Sweden (Hudiksvall and Västervik) and in the US (Naugatuck CT, Washington Depot CT, Cromwell CT, and Granby CT).
Originally born in what is now known as The Democratic Republic of Congo to Swedish missionaries Enar and Margareta Burgén, I have a love for people, different cultures, and love to travel. (Current count of countries visited is 29.) In 1996 I went to Chicago to study at North Park Theological Seminary on an exchange program between NPTS and SSoT. While attending there I met my husband Richard, also a pastor. We married in 1997 and together we have four children; Greta, Cedrik, Ian, and Karl.
I have many interests but few hobbies. However, I always make time for a good cup of tea and a long chat.
Jen is a transplant from Nashville, Tennessee. She's spent her life helping people connect. First, it was through teaching 5th Grade Literature, connecting children to good books. Then, it was through a church, connecting families to the church. Before moving to Easton, she helped businesses connect to quality, handmade products at a shop called Little Things Studio, where she continues to be the accounts manager and customer service representative.
In her free time, Jen loves nature and spending time with her husband.

Alice Fu is a native of Taiwan and immigrated to the U.S. to continue her musical study at the Walnut Hill school for the Arts at age 15. She earned both B.M and M.M. in Piano Performance under the supervision of Marian Hahn from Peabody Conservatory at Baltimore, Maryland. Ms. Fu is a versatile pianist, vocal coach, established accompanist and passionate educator.
Currently, she runs her own piano studio with a mission to help students find their passion and inspiration for music. She develops their skills to craft their own work as well as trains their ears to appreciate and understanding different styles of music. Music is in our everyday life and could affect all of us in the most positive way.
Adam is the guy behind the scenes that makes sure you can follow along in our worship at home and in church. He is a total "techie" and makes sure we're all pulling in the same direction.
He has been part of the church all his life and he also volunteers with the youth ministries from time to time, especially the youth retreats.
Nick and his wife Cathy have been members of the church for over 25 years. Nick is currently on staff as the church custodian and also serves on the Properties Ministry. In the past Nick was a counselor and mentor for the church youth. Nick handles all the internal computer systems as well as the website and assists in streaming the live worship services.
Nick has three grown children, Allie, Niko, and Zac.
Nick volunteers a lot of his time by using his gifts and talents to help others by fixing small engine machinery such as lawn mowers, and also any computer-related needs of his friends and neighbors.
Nick feels closest to God when he is cleaning the church. In his leisure time, Nick enjoys family time at his camper in NJ and walking his dog Star.
