Children& Youth Ministries
We believe that our children are the most important gifts God has entrusted to us.
A variety of age appropriate programs and activities are offered for children
& youth with an emphasis on Spiritual Formation, including fellowship, modeling
of Christian values and ideals, and bringing children to a genuine faith in Jesus
Christ. Children and youth are always welcome during worship services and are encouraged to actively participate.
Nursery Care: free care is available during Sunday School and morning worship services for children from birth to age three. A Giggle Room is available for infants and small children with a caregiver, with visual and audio access to the worship service.
Children’s Church: adult supervised activities for children Kindergarten to Grade 3 during a portion of Sunday morning services throughout the school year.
Sunday School Classes: pre-school through senior high school programs are offered during the school year each Sunday morning.
Confirmation Program: recommended for students in Grade 8 or older.
Weekly classes held during the school year over a two-year cycle, and group activities to explore the faith, beliefs and history of the Christian church and our denomination.

Pathfinders: group activities for children in Kindergarten to Grade 2
Trailblazers: group activities for children in Grades 3-5
Youth Group: weekly group activities for Grades 6-8 Junior High
Grades 9-12 Senior High
Children Choirs: instruction and weekly practice session during the school year, prepare children to lead in Sunday morning worship services over the course of the church year.
Music Makers for ages Kindergarten to Grade 2 practice Wednesday afternoons
Joyful Noise for ages Grade 3-6 practice following Sunday Morning worship Instrumentalists: youth musicians are encouraged to share their talents in a variety of ways in cooperation with our Director of Music Ministries.
Birthday Buddies: service opportunity for pre-school children and adults to interact with the residents at the Southeast Rehabilitation & Nursing Center on the first Wednesday of each month at 12:45 PM delivering birthday wishes, cards, a cupcake and smiles.
Vacation Bible School: a summer weeklong program for children who will be entering Kindergarten through grade 6 the following Fall. A variety of activities including worship, singing, arts & crafts, Bible study, sports and physical activities and snacks are directed and led by adult and older youth volunteers.
Regional Large Group Activities are sponsored by our denomination- the East Coast Conference offering a variety of camps, retreats and age appropriate activities at a variety of settings throughout the year across the conference. More info available at: www.eastcoastconf.org and www.pilgrmpines.org
